“BEST
EXPERIENCE EVER”
 This
experience is for the books! Vanessa was so welcoming and personal felt
awesome to be in her presence :) We scheduled a couples ride with
her...we rode through the jungle and onto the beach seeing beautiful
plants, flowers, wildlife, and the amazing colors of the water... how
magical and beautiful...picture it exactly how it sounds. She was so
imformative and helpful with any questions we had. She also offered to
take us on other tours( chocolate factory and waterfall) which is
totally worth it cause she speaks english and knows a lot about all the
land and you don't have to follow along with a large group unless
that's who your travelling with :) I wish we could do that ride every
day! It's hard to explain how magical it was but honestly worth every
cent.

“Amazing
experience with a wonderful guide”
Vanessa picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the jungle to begin
our journey. She chose the right horses for our ability and comfort
level. The horses were well-cared for and healthy. Not only was the
ride through the jungle and along the beach beautiful and fun, Vanessa
told us lots of interesting information about the local fauna and
flora, and kept us laughing. She took some wonderful photos of us on
the beach and by the time she drove us home we felt like we'd made a
new friend. Extremely professional and friendly. Highly recommended!

“Vanessa
and her horses are a true highlight of Puerto Viejo! Absolutely
Wonderful!”
This horseback riding tour is not your typical run of the mill tourist
activity, which is what made our experience so wonderul! Vanessa is a
wonderful woman, who truly loves her horses, her customers, and the
community she calls home. She goes above and beyond the tour
description, pointing out wildlife and telling stories of local
happenings that make the relaxing ride and phenomenal (I mean, crazy
beautiful, spectacular, breathtaking) views that much more enjoyable.
The horses are extremely well taken care of, and obviously well loved.
The equipment is all imported from Europe and it is clear Vanessa takes
safety and comfort for both her customers and her horses very
seriously. After the tour she made us some fantastic lemonade and let
us stick around and swim on her secluded little beach which was a real
off the beaten path treat! On the way back to our hotel, she showed us
some great spots to eat and even stopped so we could taste for
ourselves! You would be crazy to skip an experience like this! Thanks
again Vanessa!

“Dream
come true!”
This was an amazing trip. My guide was very knowledgable about the
wildlife, the flora and fauna and the history of the area! The horses
were amazing and the ride on the beach was amazing! I would highly
recommend this trip.

“A
truly magical adventure”
 I
met Vanessa one day in Puerto Viejo whilst I was traveling and I liked
her immediately. We talked about her horses and I decided to go to her
ranch the next day. I fell in love with her ranch and her beautiful
animals....
I have ridden for many years but I had never gone on an horse-adventure
and seen wild animals, galloped on the beach and felt so free. I will
always remember how happy I felt.
As a matter of fact, I went back with a friend a couple weeks later and
he really enjoyed it.
The horses are so well taken care of and so used to monkeys screaming
or a darks barking that you really can relax and absorb the beautiful
scenery. I recommend this trip as it is seriously the highlight of my
trip to Costa Rica... and the first thing that I tell people about my
trip.

“Best
Equestrian adventure while travelling I have had!”
I am a lifelong rider and have grown up around horses of my own. When I
travel, going for a ride is an absolute must on my list of things to
do. Many times in many different countries I have been terribly
disappointed, either in the quality of the ride or the quality of the
horses. This was not the case with Caribe Riding Club! Without a doubt,
riding with Vanessa was the most satisfying and fun ride I have ever
been on. We galloped through the surf (I had a huge smile plastered on
my face.... Black Stallion beach scene anyone?) and cantered jungle
trails on her perky, well trained horses. She loves the Puerto Viejo
area, loves her horses and loves meeting new people! All of that makes
for a fantastic ride with great memories. Even my husband, who is not a
rider, enjoyed a canter on the beach and had a grin the whole time. On
a practical note, Vanessa has quality tack (both English and Western)
and each horse is shoed and vet checked regularly. Two thumbs up from a
horse lover. So if you are looking for a memorable ride and a fantastic
host, definitely look up Caribe Riding Club. I know I will be back! :)

“Memory
of a lifetime ....”
Vanessa was an incredible host and possess the true essence of "Pura
Vida". It's apparent she loves what she does and her horses. The horses
are in great health and the riding equipment high quality and
safe.
Horseback riding was somthing I wanted to experience desperately in
Costa Rica and managed to make it happen last minute. Vanessa was more
than accommodating on short notice. The tour was breathtaking...an
absolute MUST. Thank You Vanessa for making my CR vacation so
memorable!

“Fabulous
experience”
Have always dreamed of horseback riding on the beach and I was not
disappointed. There were nice trails through the jungle/forest and the
beach was gorgeous. Our guide, the owner, spoke three languages(!) and
was very knowledgeable and pleasant. A dream come true for me!

“Horse
riding in the morning”
We have enjoyed a very good trip with Vanessa for almost 2.5 hrs
through the forest and at the beach.
We really liked that she pointed out a lot of plants and wild life
during the trip.
My wife is familiar with horses I am not but that turned out not to be
any problem, Vanessa took my horse adn my wife followed on her own.
Again something I can recommend to any one staying in Puerto Viego.
The horses looked very well maintained by me.
Vanessa picked us up form the hotel and brought us back after serving
some refreshments

experience!”
My husband and I decided to do this tour on our 1 year anniversary.
Vanessa picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off. She was great and
really provides a beautiful tour. Her horses and grounds are very well
kept and the tour is absolutely beautiful. You ride the horses to the
beach and on your way, she will discuss the area, the flowers/plants,
animals, etc. She is willing to answer all your questions and after a
while, you feel like you are riding with a friend. She is very
welcoming and a great tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour!

“Great
equipment and well cared for horses.”
We really enjoyed our ride. The saddle was the most comfortable saddle
I've ever rode in. Horses were in great shape and obviously well cared
for. The owner rode with us and had a vast knowledge of the local flora
and fauna. Very enjoyable!

“I
can now approach Horses”
Before this ballad with Caribe horses, I never rode and I was always
afraid to do it, but Vanessa reinsured me about this.
So I did a half day tour. The horse I had was very quiet and I was not
afraid at all. The ballad itself was amazing, with nice landscapes in
the jungle and on very beautiful caribean beaches.
Vanessa is very friendly and funny and I really had a good time.
I have to say that I don't regret all of this.

After arriving in Puerto Viejo I talked to the individuals at the lodge
I stayed at (Banana Azul) and inquired about going horse back
riding. Vanessa, who owns the horse ranch arranged to take me
the
next morning. She picked me up right on time and me took me
back
to her ranch in the woods. The horses were ready to go and
away
we went.I rode Olive who was a very gentle horse and easy to
ride. Vanessa, an expert rider, made sure
the horse was
doing what I wanted her to do. I have rode before, but you
can be
a first time rider also. We headed into town and stopped for
some
fresh coconut milk and toured the back streets of the quaint town. This
experience is the best I have had riding horse back. The area
is
beautiful and your guide is special. I was then taken back to
the
Azul and thought about the great time I had. Vanessa live
close
to the lodge so it's a short distance to go to get there.
Take it
from me! You will love it. I am going back myself.

We went on a horseback riding tour with

Petin through their website. It was more than we could ask for. It was
not your normal tour you would get in the states. She took us through
the jungle and onto the beach. She allowed us to gallop and run along
the beach! That was a dream to just freely run along the surf. She took
us into town and we stopped for coffee before heading back.

massage! Also, if you want to take good pics of the waterfall, bring
something to protect your camera from the mist. The horse riding tour
was with Vanessa Petin, a French lady. Even if it is your first time on
a horse, don't worry. She has a horse, especially suitable for
first-timers. Riding a horse through the jungle and then on the beach
was an unforgettable moment for us....."
